Works Cited is in review! This new app helps you with your bibliographies! Here's the description:
Have you ever thought you finished a paper, only to remember that you still have to write the bibliography? Almost everyone who has gone through high school knows the pain of finding all the proper formatting rules for the citations in a bibliography. Don't sweat, because Works Cited is an app that will make the citations and the bibliographies for you!
This app supports the guidelines set by MLA 7, APA 6, and the Chicago Manual of Style. It has citation creators for Books, Websites, Newspapers, Magazines, Online Databases, and more! You can even create bibliographies to hold these citations, and when you're done you can e-mail the bibliography to yourself! Or you can e-mail just one citation if needed. Just supply the information and the app will do the rest!
This is the perfect app for making papers a streamlined and stress-free task (well, it doesn't really eliminate the stress of actually WRITING the paper, but at least the bibliography is taken care of).
Hopefully it will be approved quickly. You'll know as soon as I know!

I see that the app is now listed in the app store. Question... does Works Cited store (locally on the iPhone) the bibliographies and citations for retrieval/editing later? or is it a one shot do-it-then-email creation?
ReplyDeleteI am thinking about using it as a literature gathering app... things I want to get hard copies or pdfs of. Sort of like a literature todo list for when i get home or get to the library stacks.

ReplyDeleteSorry about the late update, I have been pretty busy lately and haven't paid much attention to the blog.
You can save bibliographies for later, so when you start the app back up your resources are still there. Therefore you could use it for remembering literature.

This app has a bug. It will not delete bibliographies or citations. I can press the "do not enter," and then the Delete button, but nothing happens. Please fix.

The works cited app is great especially for those long research days when you Ned to keep track of your sources but the app currently doesn't Save more than one source and crashes when you go back to it. I hate paying for apps that dint work.
